The AP and Commentary magazine both report today that there may be as many as 3 Republican Electors who could “go rogue.” All 3 are Ron Paul supporters. One is from Iowa, one from Nevada and one from Texas.
The one from Texas would be symbolic. Texas won’t need the one vote to reach a majority for Romney. Iowa and Nevada, on the other hand, are toss-up states. If it’s close, those votes could make a difference to either swing the election to Obama or to throw it into the House of Representatives.
It is unlikely that things will come down to this, but In any event, it should bear watching.
How likely do you think somebody who is an electoral college delegate might “go rogue” and not vote as directedby his state party?
